Around the Tønnessen household, it is baby doll central. Ever since Lillian came home from the hospital, Lexi's "play" has turned to the baby dolls. She constantly has 5-6 dolls that she is tending to. Everything from fixing them food (at her play kitchen), to putting them to sleep (with the various blankets and pillows around the living room), to dressing them, undressing them, doctoring them, talking to them, etc. A couple of weeks ago, we were in Feda at the boathouse and she started breast feeding one of her baby dolls "like Mamma does". Complete with pulling the shirt up and burping her (see pic below). Once back home in Stavanger, she even wanted a pair of Mamma's breast pads to put in her shirt and a proper burp cloth to burp her babies. (Both of which she received, of course!)
Marching forward in time to this weekend:
I pulled Lexi over to the Nativity Scene to have a chat about Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus and the Christmas story. You can see a pic of our Nativity Scene below and see Baby Jesus sleeping in his "crib".
So, a day later, what do I see? Can you guess? I see Lexi sitting in her little chair in the living room, with her shirt pulled up and she is breast feeding Baby Jesus. I just couldn't get to the camera fast enough....
We then (of course), had another talk about Baby Jesus....

can't...stop....laughing
