Lexi and Grace's 2nd Birthday Party

Lexi and Grace had a combined Winnie the Pooh themed birthday party on Saturday from 3pm-5pm. Grace turned two on Thursday and Lexi on Friday; so, Jacinta and I thought it was fitting to do a combined birthday party. It was a great success with 14 kids, 3 babies and 18 adults! We had it at Lexi's local Norwegian daycare which was perfect as there were loads of playthings for the kids. Both Lexi and Grace were wired to the moon by the time it was over (and cleaned-up), but the girls eventually settled-down for the evening.

Here is a pic from Lexi's 2nd birthday celebration yesterday at her Norwegian Daycare. She got to wear a crown and Mom sent a huge fruit platter and muffins for the afternoon celebration.

And the birthday celebrations continued today (her actual birthday) with a muffin and ice cream celebration at her International Daycare.

And then Cousin Jennifer came and Lexi got to open the family birthday presents! It was Christmas all over again!

Early Birthday

Lexi received an early birthday gift this last Saturday morning from her Bestemor (Tim's mom). It was a new baby doll stroller which is super popular for her growing collection of dolls. At any given time, Baby Jilly, Baby (Lexi's name for a new doll received at Christmas) or Belle can be found in the stroller. You can tilt their back-support up and down or their feet up and down as well as adjusting the sun cover. She spends hours placing the dolls in the stroller and re-arranging the pillow, blanket, dyne, etc.

Lexi is definitely mechanically-inclined like her father and is always trying to assist with any assembly project!

And, of course, she has to try out the new stroller herself. No amount of reasoning would stop her!

Loving her blueberry pudding (similar to tapioca pudding with blueberry flavor)...

Time to blog...

Well, my super-mom-sister Kristy has convinced me that it is easy to blog. And, since I was getting ready to email some new pictures to the family, I decided that now was the time to try.

So, here are a few pictures of Lexi taken during these last couple of weeks in January. She is getting great use out of the sweaters and jackets that she received from Grammy & PaPa for Christmas. And, you will see a picture of her new "big girl bed" that we installed in her bedroom on Sunday. We are hoping that it will help us combat some of these horrible sleep routines / demands that she has had since 2.october 2008!
